Site Securing & Grid Capacity Inquiry
At the end of 2023, we secured a site in Barsinghausen, Lower Saxony, approximately half an hour west of Hanover. In parallel with the land use contract negotiations, the necessary grid connection processes were initiated, including a 15MW inquiry with the responsible grid operator, Avacon.
Q1/2024
Building permit application submitted
Following the acquisition of the necessary expert reports (including fire, noise, and water protection) and site planning that accounts for adjacent gas pipelines, the building permit application will be submitted to the municipality of Barsinghausen in the Hanover region in March 2024.
Q4/2024
Announcement of CCI project acquisition
In November 2024, the acquisition of project rights totaling 310 MW by CCI was announced. Capcora supported Terra One in executing this M&A deal. The Barsinghausen project, a battery storage development, is included in the acquisition.

Q4/2024
Building permit approval
Shortly thereafter, in December 2024, Terra One received the building permit for the Barsinghausen project from the responsible building authority. In addition, we received confirmation for the grid connection at the corresponding substation. This marks the start of the next project phase.
Q4/2025
Project is "ready-to-build"
Upon receipt of the pending grid connection agreement, the necessary grid connection commitment, and the fulfillment of additional requirements such as solid financing, the Barsinghausen battery storage project will be "ready-to-build."
